LAMHDI aims to link all appropriate animal model databases to allow users to search across them with a single search. The following sites have been identified as most useful to animal model researchers to supplement LAMHDI, and the LAMHDI team is working on incorporating them. Click the name of any site to find out more about it.

Centre for Modeling Human Disease

The CMHD is a multidisciplinary collaboration of basic and clinical scientists who are undertaking genome-wide mutagenesis to functionally annotate the mouse genome and develop new mouse models relevant to human disease.

A database that includes 44 Affymetrix Dros2 expression arrays, each mapping the expression of 18,770 transcripts, corresponding to the vast majority of known Drosophila genes. The site allows researchers to identify where a gene of interest is expressed or enriched in the adult fly.

FlyBase data is included in LAMHDI's Database Search

The primary database of integrated genetic and genomic data about the Drosophilidae, of which Drosophila melanogaster is the most extensively studied species. Data types include sequence-level gene models, molecular classification of gene product functions, mutant phenotypes, mutant lesions and chromosome aberrations, gene expression patterns, transgene insertions, and anatomical images.

International Directory of Primatology

The International Directory of Primatology provides information about organizations, population management groups, information resources and people currently active in the areas of primate research, education, and conservation.

Knockout Mouse Project (KOMP)

The Knockout Mouse Project is a trans-NIH initiative that aims to generate a comprehensive and public resource comprised of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells containing a null mutation in every gene in the mouse genome.

Knock Out Rat Consortium

Focused on rats with single gene disruptions (knockouts). The consortium's goal is to create at least one rat with a null mutation corresponding to every gene in the rat genome.

Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI)

MGI data is included in LAMHDI's Database Search

MGI is the international database resource for the laboratory mouse, providing integrated genetic, genomic, and biological data to facilitate the study of human health and disease, plus links to sources for specific laboratory mice. MGI data comes from the Mouse Genome Database (MGD) Project, the Gene Expression Database (GXD) Project, the Mouse Tumor Biology (MTB) Database Project, and the Gene Ontology (GO) and MouseCyc Projects at MGI.

Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Centers (MMRRC)

The MMRRC is a national network of breeding and distribution facilities and an information coordinating center that together serveas NIH's premier repository of spontaneous and induced mutant mouse and cell lines.

NIH Rat Genomics and Genetics: Major Resources

NIH's Rat Genome Working Group, funded by 13 institutes and coordinated by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, features NIH-sponsored and related rat genetic and genomic activities and resources.

PrimateLit citations annotated "animal models" are included in LAMHDI's Literature Search

The PrimateLit database provides bibliographic access to the scientific literature on nonhuman primates for the research and educational communities. It includes references to journal articles, books, book chapters, abstracts, technical reports, and dissertations. Full references are given, but there are no abstracts available.

Rat Genome Database (RGD)

RGD data is included in LAMHDI's Database Search

The Rat Genome Database is a consolidated and integrated collection of data generated from ongoing rat genetic and genomic research efforts. It provides curation of mapped positions for quantitative trait loci, known mutations, and other phenotypic data.

Saccharomyces Genome Database (SGD)

SGD data is included in LAMHDI's Database Search

A scientific database of the molecular biology and genetics of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as baker's or budding yeast. It provides access to the complete Saccharomyces cerevisiae genomic sequence, its genes and their products, the phenotypes of its mutants, and the literature supporting these data.

A model organism database that is the central data repository for information about Caenorhabditis elegans and related nematodes. It includes not only the genomic sequence, but also experimental results integrated with extensively annotated views of the genome.

Zebrafish Model Organism Database (ZFIN)

ZFIN data is included in LAMHDI's Database Search

The Zebrafish Model Organism Database (ZFIN) is a community resource for the laboratory use of zebrafish. It offers data on zebrafish genetics, genomics, and development, as well as reference data sets of zebrafish research information to facilitate the use of the zebrafish as a model for human biology.
